Plant-based Eggs? What’s That Sis?? [Just Egg Review]

My friend Jasmine became a vegan this year and I learned about JUST egg from her! I saw her keep sharing her meals and most of the breakfast ones featured this egg…that wasn’t an egg. I was a little hesitant at first but I’m always up to trying something new, especially if its plant based. I order all of my groceries through the Kroger app and for a while this item wasn’t available. I requested that they add it and within a month, it was there. I believe this product is also available at Whole Foods and possibly Fresh Thyme.

I made a veggie burrito plate the first time I tried it. So it featured black beans, veggie sausage, rice, salsa and the JUST Egg. I cooked it in olive oil spray and added cheese the first time because I was concerned I wouldn’t like it otherwise. Cooking it reminded me a lot of how egg beaters cook but a lot faster! Also keeping this in mind, I seasoned it lightly because egg whites and egg beaters can be over seasoned easily. I used my general go-to seasoning, Himalayan salt and garlic powder. Let me tell yall, this egg was AMAZING! Arguably, it tastes better than an actual egg! I’ve continued to buy it ever sense and love to cook it on the weekend when I don’t fast.

This product highlights that it is gluten free, dairy free and cholesterol free, all features that I love! Have you tried JUST egg or would you ever? This can be a great transition product for people seeking to be plant-based or vegan but love eggs. You seriously won’t taste the difference. Let me know what you think in the comments!
